why me?

help! what is IBD? < previous section

When children are ill for a long time, they can get fed up. You may feel angry because you can’t do the things your friends are doing. If you feel upset, tell your mum, dad, teacher or doctor how you feel. Talking about how you feel can make you feel happier.

Lots of children have illnesses and you can’t always tell who is ill by looking at them. It’s OK to tell your friends if you don’t feel very well.

Some children like to have an ‘epal’ they can email who has IBD and who knows what it is really like.

When you are feeling better, you are just the same as other children and should be able to do all the things you love.
