Improving our school resources - we want your input!

Help Us Improve Our School Resources

We know that living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) can make day-to-day life at school more challenging for children and teenagers - managing symptoms, balancing schoolwork, friendships, navigating school routines and communicating needs can feel overwhelming. It’s so important that young people feel understood, supported and included. To help make this possible, schools need clear information and guidance so they know how best to support students with IBD.

I often felt embarrassed explaining my IBD to teachers and friends. If my school had better information, I think I would’ve felt more confident and less alone.

At CICRA, we want to ensure that every child with IBD is able to learn, take part and feel confident at school. We’re working to improve our resources so that everyone — including parents, teachers, school staff, and peers — can feel more confident supporting children and young people with IBD. But to make sure we focus on what really matters, we need your help.

Whether you’re a parent, young person, teacher, or supporter, we’d love to hear about your experiences. Your feedback will help us shape our resources so children and young people with IBD feel better supported in the classroom.
