We offer support cards to help young people explain what they need to those that want to help them.
Sometimes when you are ill, it can be hard to know what support we would like and for others to know how to be helpful. Sometimes other people want to be supportive but feel embarrassed, don’t know what to say or are worried about upsetting us. We’ve put together some postcards for young people with IBD to give to people, with suggestions for how they can help and with room for your own ideas, too. The cards are for you to share with your friends, teachers or parent or carer. You tick the ideas that could help you at the moment or add your own.
Please contact us for further details or to order your support cards today. Each card comes with a blank envelope, and there are three versions: parent/carer, teacher, friend. Let us know which cards you want and your address and we will pop them in the post.
If you have any questions, please contact our family support worker, Laura, on firstname.lastname@example.org
