CICRA part of Global's Make Some Noise

Global’s Make Some Noise has chosen CICRA as one of its charities to support in 2018.

Global’s Make Some Noise annual fundraising appeal supports small and brilliant charities across the UK, which help youngsters and their families living with illness, disability or lack of opportunity.

All the fundraising will culminate in October with the UK-wide Global’s Make Some Noise Day on Friday 5th October 2018.

The 2018 appeal will also give a voice to inspirational young people living with Crohn’s and colitis, and raise awareness of the different ways in which IBD can affect childhood.

We are delighted and honoured to be chosen as one of the charities for Global’s Make Some Noise appeal in 2018. Their incredible support for small and brilliant charities like CICRA makes a big difference for children and young people. Children with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and their families will benefit hugely from projects we hope to fund as a result and we are also keen to increase awareness about the impact of IBD on childhood. A massive thanks to everyone who donates, your generosity will give better lives for children with Crohn’s and colitis.
Nick Posford, chief executive, CICRA

Over the coming months, CICRA will be using this opportunity to ‘make some noise’ about IBD to try and change attitudes towards Crohn’s and colitis. The stigma associated with these conditions can have a devastating impact on children and young people, and this gives us a chance to break taboos and increase understanding of what everyone can do to help children and young people living with IBD.

You can read more about us on Global’s Make Some Noise site and you can donate to our ground-breaking research and our support services for children and their families.
