READY TO ROCK SCHOOL makes their first visit to the fabulous WEDGEWOOD ROOMS for their Christmas Charity Gig, in aid of CICRA.

A full 5 hour rock marathon, features the young, teenage and adult rockers from the Havant, Waterlooville, Portsmouth and Petersfield rock schools, all rocking out through the afternoon gig and playing the best rock songs from across the decades!!

Former PRAYING MANTIS, THE SWEET, BIG LIFE and FAY WRAY vocalist, Mark Thompson-Smith, leads the RTR School tutors and students for their third big charity gig of the year.

Mark Thompson said “RTR School’s aspiring rockers learn how to sing, play guitar, bass and drums across their schools with playing live gigs as their main target for all. Being able to help our students to progress and to get out playing in their own bands is an incredible buzz.

Having our youngest band, LUCKY 13, then average age 13, play on the Casemates Stage at Victorious Festival 2014, to a crowd of nearly 200 cheering spectators and then go on to be runners up at the Showcase 2015 Finals at The Wedgewod Rooms recently, is so inspiring and just shows what our students can achieve.

When I told all of the students that they were going to play at the legendary Wedgewood Rooms, their excitement levels went off the scale!! It’s going to be a great gig!!”

The music kicks off at 1.30pm on Sunday December the 20th and is open to the public.

Tickets:- £4 in advance and £5 on the door on the day.

The event is sponsored by The Wedgewood Rooms and Nevada Music.
